San Pedro's most popular annual event, Navy Days, will return for 2015 from Tuesday, August 4-Sunday, August 9.
We'll be welcoming USS Bunker Hill (CG52), USS Cape St. George (CG73), and USS Halsey (DDG 97).
The official welcoming is planned for the afternoon of Tuesday, August 4, when the visiting U.S. Navy ships transit up the Los Angeles Harbor Main Channel, accompanied by the Tall Ships of the Los Angeles Maritime Institute and a water cannon salute from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
San Pedro has two outstanding beaches, each with its own natural features and character.
Plus we're close to miles and miles of other great beaches, surfing, watersports, and much more.
Cabrillo Beach has a long expanse of calm, sandy shoreline, protected by the Los Angeles Harbor breakwater. But move just outside the breakwater and you’ll find open waters that are renowned for their great windsurfing and other water sports. This area is known as Hurricane Gulch because of its strong (but not really hurricane strength) winds.
