Jophel Ybiosa, a photographer who has worked on Princess Cruises ships sailing from Los Angeles, won first place in the Moscow International Photo Awards for his entry, "The Feast of Black Nazarene in Manila.
Mr. Ybiosa has sailed as a photographer on Star Princess, Pacific Princess, and Coral Princess ships that call in Los Angeles, among other vessels of the line he has served on. He is currently on Sun Princess until September when he he begin training to become a master photographer.
San Pedro is currently hosting the Ocean Exploration Trust vessel Nautilus and renowned ocean explorer Dr. Robert Ballard (the scientist who found Titanic). And the rest of the spring and summer will include some very important explorations in the Pacific Ocean.
