San Pedro and the Palos Verdes Peninsula offer you a wide range of attractions and activities to make your visit special.
Whether you're interested in the arts, culture, culinary travel, adventure tourism...we've got it all.
See where sea lions, seals, and walruses are nursed back to health. Experience seaport life at quaint Ports O' Call Village. Take a harbor tour and get up close to the big ships coming in and out of the port. Learn about sea life at the marine aquarium. We're homeport to USS Iowa--BB61, the Big Stick. But there's life in San Pedro beyond the Waterfront, too.
We're a seaport town and have lots of great waterfront attractions. And visitors are often surprised at the wide range of activities and attractions in the Los Angeles Harbor area. History is a big part of our communities. From San Pedro's historic Downtown and Wilmington's beautifully restored Civil War era buildings to the Pt. Fermin Lighthouse, Korean Friendship Bell, you'll find tradition and great photo opportunities.
We've got the contemporary, too. San Pedro is the home of a groundbreaking artists' colony with great galleries. If it's adventure you want, we have trails and some of the best sailboarding in the western world.
There's not enough time in the day (and night) to experience it all. So plan an extended stay.
Gotta dance. And enjoy a live show in an elegant Art Deco theater. And hear music. Or sing karaoke.
Sailors used to embark on ships from San Pedro and sail to the exotic and interesting ports around the world. They still do. But today San Pedro has its own wide range of fascinating places to see and explore.
Listed below are some of the sites you'll want to include on your itinerary.

The Marine Mammal Care Center at Fort MacArthur is a hospital for ill, injured, and orphaned marine mammals, primarily California sea lions, northern elephant seals, harbor seals, and northern fur seals.
